Craig & Emma’s Wedding @ Bradford Registry Office
Wedding Reception @ Calverley Golf Club
Having met through a childhood friend of mine, at a wedding, Craig got in touch when Emma & himself set their date.
We planned over the months ahead, talking colours, a small formal photo list, about nervous guests, but we had no idea of what was to come!
I arrived along with Craig & Emma’s loved ones, before Craig arrived looking dapper, and not too nervous.
It’s tradition for the bride to arrive around 10 minutes after her groom, but there no sign of Emma. With register offices being so busy, especially at weekends, we were soon told that Emma had 10 minutes to arrive, before they’d have to re-arrange!!
By the skin of her teeth, after a dress that didn’t want to fasten, and a lot of Bradford traffic, she arrived with her Papa, ready to rock. How Craig hadn’t fainted by this time, I’ll never know.
After a super quick ceremony, and a bit of confetti-ing outside, we headed to the beautiful Calverley Golf Club - blue skies, sunshine, on the border between Bradford & Leeds, we had our own area of the grounds, to avoid any stray golf balls.. we hoped, anyway!
Just as the speeches were about to begin, everyone realised that the Grand National was about to start, giving a short pause, and mostly disappointed gamblers!
The kids did their own thing, with bubbles being a popular theme.
The speeches had everyone laughing, with all the emotion when Emma’s daughter announced that she’d changed her name, to reflect Craig firmly being in their lives.
