Nancy's Mum got in touch with me towards November, to book a session for her 18 month old diva, and her cousin who was still being cooked at the time of booking. Fellow photographers think I'm bonkers shooting other children with newborns, but I really enjoy it.
On the day, little Isla was 10 days new, and took to having her photo taken in her stride.
Nancy was quite vocal at first, not wanting photos unless she could mess around an have a solo shoot.
But we let her come around in her own time, which meant letting her do laps around the studio til she chose a chair that she'd sit in for photos.. and a dolly to hold, naturally.
With Isla fast asleep, Nancy told the dolly all sorts of stories, pointing Isla out to her, and no doubt being a proud cousin.
A few more laps later, and with some gentle persuasion, we managed to get these adorable girlies in the same photo, and it was well worth being patient for.
I could have watched them all day, and I'd love to know what Nancy was thinking.
